I'm reading some of these reviews and I'm like what are these ppl talking about!!!1st off the battery...I have had no problems with a full charge lasting more than 2 days and that includes some serious on screen time.. I play a few games, surf the net, watch Netflix. I listen to music while at the gym and In the car utilizing Bluetooth and my battery holds up fine. The case and screen protector that comes with the phone is pretty good at this price point... I have dropped my phone a couple of times from pretty decent distances and not a scratch on it. (so far)As for the camera...Open camera from the Google play store will solve all your camera issues will let you record in 4k and the pictures come out very clear and pretty damn decent for a $200 phone. If I did have any complaints it would be headphone output isn't what I'm used to...mind you I'm coming from the LG brand flagship phones to this phone so I do miss the sound quality but it makes up for it head over heels in the Bluetooth..Bluetooth is definitely louder and clearer on my aftermarket audio.Someone said it had spy Chinese firmware....I don't know where they got that crap from but this phone has pure Android no bloatware at all it's snappy and as fast as it is responsive and I love the basic ui.. If you're in to app launchers then by all means.. but I just love the simplicity of the UI design. The NFC works great I've had no problems with it and the Wi-Fi picks up my dual bands at home no problems..I am on T-Mobile....the phone worked fine out of the box upon insetting sim card. and I get nothing less than 4g.I bought the black one for myself the red one for my wife and she loves it just as much as I do, it runs smooth with no issues almost 2 weeks out of the box.For $200 phone the specs that you get are very decent I will say the two biggest cons to me are the fingerprint scanner whichis kind of hit-or-miss but you also have to remember it's highly dependent on how you scan your finger in the first place and secondly the audio output through headphones....Lastly the facial recognition... it's pretty decent it recognizes me 80% of the time with no problem even in a darker room which surprised me..All in all it's a GREAT phone for the price. With a pure Android..snappy and easily manuverable UI. Great battery life and charge speed. (Plug directly into an outlet for the best charging experience.)You have to remember this is a new company and sometimes when you have a new product that you build from scratch there will be problems so I don't doubt the people do have problems with their devices but my experience has been absolutely wonderful don't hesitate to give it a try..I'm even thinking of buying the UMIDIGI smartwatch next..UPDATE 11-7-2019:Wife's phone went out all of a sudden last month. It just shut off and never turned back on. After three or four days of going back and forth with UmiDigi support. Once we exhausted all support options I contacted the seller and within about 10 days time I have a new replacement. My wife loves her phone, I don't know what happened but I know sometimes things just go out and I'm glad we had the warranty to cover it..Thanks again UMIDIGI.P.swe both have the Uwatch 2 and the new earbuds just came.. out we love the brand!

I'm using this with dual Sims, T-Mobile and At&t. Works fine, but can have issues switching in between the two for mobile data at times. The true shocker of this phone is battery life. Two days on a charge and 8 to 10 hours screen on time is most typical for my usage. The big battery definitely pays off.OS is largely stock and works well. None of the bloatware the brand names saddle you with. Normal use performance is actually quite good. Better than the specs would lead you to believe. The camera is probably the weakest link. While the advertising touts the camera a lot, its simply not very good. Autofocus performance is the worst I've seen from any phone in years. Trying to pull it out and quickly snapping off a picture is likely to result in nothing in focus at all. When it does successfully focus, you will either get a pretty nice image, or one where it is so clearly oversharpened in software it looks like it was edited by someone pushing way too far to try to make it impressive.Great phone for those who don't want to spend a ton or be restricted by carrier software. Performance is good. I've dropped it quite a few times to no ill effects so its not super fragile. Fingerprint reader is convenient, although often requires more than one try. Battery life is top notch. Just don't expect anything close to the promises made about the camera.

Just over a year ago I purchased what was one of the best budget phones in 2018: the Honor 7x. I gave it 5 stars and it deserved them, because it was a great phone for the money. But here we are only a year later with the Umidigi F1, and it's amazing how much more you can get!Start with the display. The F1's display is bigger, sharper and brighter than the 7x, and with better viewing angles. It fills the front of the phone with only a teardrop notch and minimal chin. The colors are vibrant and more visible in the sun. The glass on the screen is also much less of a fingerprint magnet than the 7x.Then you get 4 gigs RAM (instead of 3 in the 7x) and a whole 128 gigs of storage, plus you can still add the SD card. And the battery is a huge 5150 mAh, fully 2000 more than the 7x. Never a worry about a charge.Additionally this phone comes with a very quick charging USB-C connection, NFC so Google-Pay can be used, and a speaker that has more volume and a bit better sound than my 7x. Both, thankfully have retained the headphone jack. Sound quality, either through the headphone jack or USB, is very good.Call quality is about the same on both phones, no complaints either on normal calls or speaker. The fingerprint sensor is good, but not quite as good as the Honor 7x (It's slightly less consistent and also can't do as many other things, like open notices, etc.), but facial recognition is better. Once you're in, performance throughout is snappy and silky smooth with no noticeable lag or stutter (I'm not a gamer so I haven't tested it at the limits, but it's better than the 7x, probably because of the extra 1 gig RAM). I've had no problem with connectivity either on WIFI or 4g LTE, and it switches between the two with less hiccups than the Honor. GPS is accurate and seems to find me better quicker than the Honor did.The phone's size is virtually identical to the 7x, except slightly thicker to accommodate the bigger battery. But it's slightly more round in back so it actually feels smaller in hand. Contrary to what some have said, the back seems to be plastic, not metal. It has a rubberized finish that has better grip without a case than glass or the 7x's metal. If doesn't look as premium as glass, but is much more durable. It comes standard with a good looking and grippy black case which protects the back and sides well, but could use a bit bigger protective lip on the front. It also has a plastic screen protector already applied. It's not easy to find a good replacement case on Amazon or anywhere else in this country. I ordered a couple on AliExpress. We will see how they stack up.The F1 came out of the box with practically stock Android Pie, which I like. It supports either gestures or the old navigation buttons, and has pieces of a Dark Mode which show up automatically depending on what wallpaper you choose, but which you cannot choose by itself (Notice the volume slider bar and the folder windows in the pics). I do miss some of the Huawei EMUI mods, especially the one-handed mode, since this is a big phone, but on the whole it's good, and there is NO bloatware. Umidigi is a smaller company, though, so we will have to see how many updates the software gets.If there was one place the Honor 7x was better, it is the camera department. Not the cameras themselves—they're about equal to the 7x in photo quality, and better in video—but the app. The one that comes with the phone is very bare-bones, while the Honor 7x had many good options. I have downloaded Open Camera, which is good, and also Moment Pro Camera, but I don't think my search for a camera app I'm happy with has finished. Also, strangely, it came with no Gallery app, and none of the ones I've tried have the editing capabilities of the gallery that came with the Honor 7x. Now I have to do my editing in an outside app. It's doable, but a bit of a pain [UPDATE: The New Google Photos Go gallery app has filled the bill for a good replacement for the missing gallery). All in all, however, this is one impressive little phone. What you get is leaps and bounds over what was available just a year ago and, with the coupon I used at the time, it actually cost me $10.00 less than the 7x. I highly recommend it.UPDATE: I've gotten 3 system updates since I bought the phone, which was unexpected. And the latest one had a security update and a much better camera app. Thank you, Umidigi. The phone is now everything I want.
