The A71 5G is solid all around. A snappy CPU and solid system RAM (with up to another 8 [I think] GB of RAM Plus) gives it all around a smooth feel. The screen is solid, though a bit dim in sunlight and with noticeable ghosting when quickly moving dark items around a bright screen. It's totally bearable, though. The battery is about two days max with a few hours of use and responsible brightness use and power saving measures in place. All in all, it's definitely a phone I plan to use for at least three, hopefully five more years.Unfortunately, at least with my refurbished model, the fingerprint scanner isn't working. It seems to be an inconsistent hardware or firmware issue with phones from around the time period, and it might require servicing. Fortunately, it gives you options for unlocking it and in well-lit rooms, the Facial Recognition is passable. And I could be unlucky with the fingerprint reader. It's definitely not a common problem, but might be worth keeping in mind if you buy something refurbished.

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't so sure about ordering an renewed phone from Amazon. In the description, it states that this phone is unlocked. After I purchased this phone, I read multiple reviews stating that this phone doesn't work with total wireless ( which is the carrier i use ). I also read multiple reviews stating that the phone isn't unlocked at all and that it only works with certain carrier's. After reading that, I was disappointed and worried that I was going to have to return the phone for a refund. But, then I received the phone in the mail. And it is in-fact unlocked and works with total wireless. The phone has no scratches, or anything! This phone looks brand new, I could never tell it was renewed. The fingerprint is an amazing feature that works so well! The facial recognition isn't as fast as the iPhone x series, but it does work very well. I enjoy this phone very much, it's worth every penny! And the camera, ???. I could be a photographer with only using this phones camera. ( just kidding ). The camera quality is amazing though!

I had this phone for 5 days. 3 days I did nothing with it. After I charged it each day the battery went down maybe 3 to 5%. The day I added everything to it it kept connecting to the charger. Then I started using it and it seemed like it was being recorded while I was on the phone. The speaker phone seemed to sound like it was under water. So the second day actually using it I came here to get a replacement. Mind you nothing was wrong with the charging of the battery. I plugged it up last night (right after ordering a replacement) and it charged fine. and I went to bed. I woke up to the phone bring almost dead. I unplugged and replaced. Nothing. I realized I needed to factory reset the phone to send it back. As all my personal information is now on the phone. So I tried to factor reset it. It was at 9%. So it wouldn't. Because it needed to be at 10%. The phone began to rapidly lose charged until it got to 3%. I realized the wifi and location was off. So I turned those off. At 3% I was able to remove all the things from the phone but couldn't find the trash to make sure. So I canceled the replacement and I'm charging the money I paid for this one as a NEVER AGAIN LOST! Because I WILL NOT send it back with the possibility of all my information being in the phone. I don't trust this. I feel like this was done on purpose to get information when we send them back.
