I bought this watch as a present for my 6-yr old grandson. When the package arrived, the container it was supposed to be in and the watch itself were separated from each other in the bag b/c whoever packed it didn’t notice that the lid of the container was on the bottom (a lid, by the way that had a clear viewing window that would have still allowed the watch to be seen. Why it made sense to anyone that a watch setting inside a container w/o a lid on it before being packed & shipped is beyond me. Luckily, the watch is still working!

If you want to get a watch for a child with quite a few “bells and whistles” then this is your watch. it has an alarm and it tells day, date, time and seconds. It has a stopwatch and you can push a button for a backlight. All of this might be very appealing to a child, but I don’t think the size is that appropriate for a child. The case is 5/8 of an inch thick, and even the strap is quite long. I am a grandma, but my wrist is by no means tiny and this could go on my wrist or even a larger wrist. So since it’s going to stick out a lot, I would see it getting a lot of knocks and hits from a little boy just in normal play. It says that it’s water resistant, but I sure hope it’s shock resistant as well. It come in a metal windowed box.All in all, this is an impressive watch for a little boy, but in my opinion, too much watch for a little boy. I would go for a flatter watch, and a size more appropriate for a child. I was thinking about giving this to my grandson for his birthday, but I think that I’ll pass on that. Not sure what I will do with this—I may see if it fits my husband’s wrist.As a child’s watch, I’d rate this three stars.
